Learning to fly…

September 27th, 2003 by Brock

Wow… It was quite a time tonight in Bryant-Denny Stadium. I said in the previous post that Bama might not do well this season. I thought I would be proven wrong in the third quarter this afternoon. All of the sudden, we're looking at our second overtime. All of the sudden, interception by Arkansas. Field goal… game over. 34-31… Heartbreaker. By the way, ESPN College Gameday and the Associated Press just got it wrong. They just said UA is 0-3 at home under Shula. I guess they forgot that win over Kentucky here two weeks ago.

Anyhow, it was a great game despite the blown 21-point lead. A thunderstorm delayed the start of the game for over an hour. Amy and I said, “What the hey. Let's play in the rain.” We got soaked, but it was a lot of fun.

That's all I can muster tonight. I'm pretty tired, but I finally have a Sunday off from work. I'll go into more details about my current work/class situation in the very near future. Got a big statistics test Monday morning that I have to cram for tomorrow. Later!
