TGIF…
It's Friday, and thank goodness Bama has an out-of-town game FINALLY! I love my Bama, but it's the very first away game. It's nice to finally have a weekend with no one coming on campus and tailgating under our window.
It's not been that great of a week. I had a statistics test Monday that I didn't do as well as I wanted to. If you know me, you know I'm not fantastic at math. I still can't believe I chose marketing as my minor due to that very fact. Thank you, Alek Ansley.
I never gave marketing a thought until Alek helped me realize how closely broadcasting and marketing are related. It'll look great on the resume, though. Positive thoughts…
Speaking of… my “Thoughts” page on my site is getting long. It's where this journal is embedded. I haven't made many entries, but none of them are terribly short.
Next week is the GHS Homecoming… and my 10-year reunion. Amy and I are going to Mom's on Thursday night, and everything kicks off Friday morning at 8:30. I think I'm excited about it… well… not really. I was never especially close to anyone in my class except Chris Forehand, Lee Ammons, and a handful of others. I see those two guys all the time, so I'm not really anxious to get back. All of my really close friends graduated the year before me. However, it will be good to see a few people. We're only going to the assembly, parade, and football game. That should satisfy me for another decade. I haven't even been back to the school since I left, and they've completely remodeled it. Our old band room (good times…
good times…) was destroyed in a tornado, so I'd like to see the new one.
If you don't know, thanks to all the budget shortfalls, Amy's no longer teaching. She works at LA Weight Loss and is pretty much enjoying it. She's a “people person” by nature, so it keeps her happy. Anyway, she's given me one of the diet plans. I've been on it for a little over a week, and so far I've lost four pounds! Granted, I'm hungry like nobody's business. I hope to drop about 30 lbs. by Christmas. It can be done! I will get back down close to my Air Force weight!
Well, my “Thoughts” page has expanded once again. I guess I'll close for now!
