Movie Talk

April 3rd, 2004 by Brock

Justin and I went to Suncoast in the mall today. I had a triple point coupon for my membership, so I naturally had to spend it. I wound up buying the original “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” along with the 2003 “remake.” If you know that store, you know how overly expensive it is. I bought both versions of the movie because they had a deal where you could buy them both for $35. Considering they are about to jack up the price of both to over $30/movie, it only made sense. I vaguely remembered the original, but I'm a horror movie nut. Had to get it with that deal. I had never seen the remake until today. I watched them back-to-back (it's spring break… cut me some slack). “Remake” is not the word for the newest one. It was completely different.

I've seen some bad reviews for the 2003 version, and I have to disagree. I thought it was just as good as the 1974 version. Hey, Jessica Biel… How could a guy NOT like it.

I start back to work tomorrow, but only for five more weekends. I can't believe it's this close to being over for college. Now if I can just get motivated to do my stupid papers…
