Here we go again…

April 7th, 2004 by Brock

Amy and I are headed out-of-town tomorrow for a day. I've got a job interview in a top-90 market at 1:30. I've already met the news director, and he's a really nice guy. He even wants me to sit in on one of their assignment meetings while I'm there. He told me he wants to go over my tape and get to know me a little more. He wants to see exactly where I would fit into the station “in case of a future opening.” I know of at least one available position at his station. His operations manager even came up to me after I won my award and said (and I quote), “We'll see you soon.” He then walked off with a smile.

This should be a beneficial meeting… even if there is no job at this time. It's not like I can go to work right now anyway. The first day I can go to work anywhere is May 24. That's the Monday after we get back from our Bahamas cruise. Countdown to graduation? One month, two days…
