Well, it's Tuesday night. I'm home after work, and I should be playing NCAA Football 2005. But ALAS! I am not. Yes, it is in my possession, but not really. Amy bought it for me today as a birthday gift. Let's see… my birthday is in two weeks. My Xbox should be back from repair in two weeks. Don't you love the sheer coincidence? I think Amy destroyed my Xbox.
Just kidding, honey. It stinks not having it, but maybe it will all be worth it. A one-month old Xbox in the shop. My old used one held up better. Grrrrrrr…
In other news, Amy got a job yesterday as a first grade teacher! I actually interviewed her new principal Friday. I told her my wife was a teacher searching for a job. She told me she just lost a teacher and wanted to know about my beloved. She called Amy Monday, interviewed her at 1:30 p.m. and hired her by 3:00. We couldn't believe how fast that happened! All from doing a story before the weekend. How sweet is that? We are now the most financially stable that we have ever been. It's a nice feeling. Now to pay off all of our debt…
I finally had the top story tonight on the 11:00 news. It was a pretty good one. It made me feel great that they did that for me. My college buddy, Hannah, is coming down for an interview tomorrow morning. I was going down to meet her, but I've managed to snag an early story. I wouldn't get back in time if I went. Sorry, Hannah!
Maybe if she gets the job then I'll see her all of the time. It'll be nice to have someone I know well working here.
Got my first paycheck today. It's better than I thought it would be. That's all for now. I'm pooped. G'night!

What a friggin' day…
I went to the mall this morning to buy Spider-Man 2 for the Xbox. Well, I brought it home, put it in the system… and nothing. No, it wasn't the game… The Xbox started blinking red and telling me to call tech support. It's dead. I bought this brand new Xbox one, yes ONE, month ago! And it's dead! AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!! It was just fine when we took it Mom's this past weekend. So, I'm boxing it up and shipping to the repair center tomorrow morning. I should have it back within two and a half weeks. Ummmm… NCAA Football 2005 comes out next Tuesday. Guess what I won't be playing…
I'm really struggling with story ideas, too. I'm having the hardest time trying to come up with them here. I don't know the area well enough yet to really get my imagination going. Oh, well. It'll kick in soon enough.
I think I'm done. G'night!

Forgot to mention…
I got pulled over by an Alabama State Trooper on the way home Sunday for speeding. 72 in a 55.
He didn't know me and he didn't know my dad. However, I told him that my dad used to be over the Dothan post and was a trooper for 34 years. He smiled and let me go. That's the first time I've ever talked my way out of a ticket.
Thanks, Dad.

Amy and I went to visit Mom this weekend. We had a great time with her. She seemed to be doing a lot better since her spell a couple of months ago. We got there Friday night and watched the first “Spider-Man” because she hadn't seen it. We took her to see the second one Saturday. **Tangent!**
**”Spider-Man 2″ is what a movie should be! I'm still in awe over it. It was better than the first one and took you on one heck of an emotional roller coaster! Even Amy (who doesn't usually want to pay to see a movie twice) is really wanting to see it again. The ending is priceless. Alfred Molina is awesome. I can't really put into words how this movie made me feel. Just go see it. That's all I can say.**
Back from tangent… We went to Ft. Rucker Saturday night to watch the fireworks. It was a great display. By the way, what is the current fascination with these little blinking lights? They were everywhere out there. People were wearing them in their ears and mouths. I'm glad I don't have epilepsy. It was just nuts.
Anyhow, we came back last night after going to church and visiting with a few of my family members. It was a great and relaxing weekend.
- Work is going well. I start my nightside shift today. I've already done a live shot and two packages. Story idea for tonight? Beats me…
- I saw Ryno last week. He was at the station working with his dad. It was good to see him. That's the first time I've seen him in about three years.
- Jennifer is coming to visit tomorrow. Sara and Amy's mom are coming down later in the week. Jimmy is coming Saturday. Hotel d'Parker is open for business.
- I've been making a list of DVDs I own and want. My first paycheck comes in next week. Remember priorities… remember priorities…
I guess that's it for now. Happy Monday! Shaaa…

Well, I just debuted on my new station. My package wasn't that great video-wise. It was my first package that I shot completely by myself. Ahhh… my first one-man-band experience. It was a very long day because I'm trying to get some video ideas. I need to handle that camera better.
I'll be at the bureau by myself tomorrow. Elizabeth hosts the 10 p.m. Fox 54 newscast on Fridays. Everything is all-or-nothing now.
Well, I need to get to sleep. Pray for us. I need to learn how to shoot better and Amy had a great interview today with a local school system. Everything is looking up!
G'night!
