Not much to report right now. We went to see Bill Cosby at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta Saturday. What a legend… He was so funny and nice!
We stayed in Kennesaw Saturday night. Amy and I lived there when we first got married over five years ago. It was the first time we've been back since then. It really hasn't changed that much. We went by my old workplace only to discover it had sold out of business. I guess they deserved it since the president was cooking the books. It was a wireless networking company when I was hired out of the Air Force. I quit about a year later because I was on the road 80% of the year. They fired the HR guy because he squealed about the money my boss was laundering. That's another reason I quit.
We also went to the church we first attended after our wedding. It was nice to see it again, but the attendance looked like it dropped a lot. I don't know if they had a split or not.
Not much else to talk about. I'm working mornings and afternoons all week while Liz is in Memphis. I'm very happy about that since I will get to be at home every night.
Well, g'night!

Hey, Liberals…
I know you want to appease the terrorists, and you don't think Saddam was a threat to anyone. However, it's time you did a little reading:
Investigators dig up mass grave seeking evidence to nail Saddam
Nah, he didn't kill his own people. He's just misunderstood, right? People aren't really safer with him behind bars.
You need to wake up from your fairy tale dreams…

I thought I would quickly run down my year in sports thus far:
Atlanta Braves:
—Eliminated from Postseason. Maybe one day there will be another World Series trophy.
Jeff Gordon:
—Not doing too bad. Third in points. Maybe he'll win this year.
Detroit Red Wings:
—Hockey's not even playing this year it looks like.
Alabama:
—Hanging by a string and just hoping to be bowl eligible.
Green Bay Packers:
—I can't even speak about it.
In conclusion: My sports season? Except for Jeff Gordon, THUMBS DOWN.

Jamie King
1973-2004
He was my best friend in Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps when we marched together in 1992. I just learned today that he suddenly passed away at his home in Florida.
He left behind a wonderful wife, Shelley, and a baby boy, Daniel.
Jamie, you were a man among men. You were one of my dearest friends. I miss you.
Shelley, Amy and I are praying for you. Jamie loved you and always spoke of you with warmth and love.
Daniel, I've not met you yet. However, your dad was one of the greatest guys I've ever known. Carry on his name with pride.
In Christ, my friend.
