- We had the house inspection today! Everything went very well! It's moving right along!
- I've been told I may not get the days off I need to in order to move. It's right before New Year's Day, and everyone else is off then. I had to be the late bloomer…
- Our “old” realtor called tonight and Amy dropped the bomb on her that we had bought a house with another realtor. Amy said her husband called back saying she was crying (no doubt over the loss of commission). He didn't raise too much of a fuss, but wondered why we did that. Sorry, man. We've had two attorneys tell us we had the right to do so. We do like our old realtor as a person, but she left out some very vital information that resulted in getting our hopes up for a previous house. Lessons learned… (By the way… that was a little unprofessional.)
- I met Auburn's head coach, Tommy Tubberville, tonight. Sure, I have a problem with his team, but he is a 100% class act. I enjoyed talking to him. He even told me to drop by see him anytime. I'll do that, especially when you head to the NFL or somewhere else.
- Filming foster kids for a news story is a no-no. I didn't do that tonight, but Coach Tubberville was speaking at a foster kid Christmas party. DHR officials got the probate judge (a good friend of mine) to call and ask if I taped them. I told him he knew me better than that.
Needless to say, even in my raw video, I didn't have the first face of a child.
- The party (even though it was work for me) was fun. I got to hang out some more with Capt. Harrison (local police officer). That's always a plus. I really do like our police department. They've got some sharp cats working there.
- We've received quite a bit of e-mails lately from good friends. I appreciate that. I hope we've answered them all in a short amount of time.
- We turn in our notice tomorrow morning on our apartment and storage place. We also pay rent on them. That's not quite as fun.
- Outside of some family members going through some rough times (we love you), everything is just falling into place. Christmas is almost here (even though we're not decorating this year due to the move), we've bought our first home, and even work is good. God is certainly smiling on us even though we don't deserve it.

We have achieved a new milestone in our marriage.
We're homeowners!
Tomorrow morning, before we head down to see Mom, we will sign the contract to our new home. The closing date is right at the end of December, so it will be a late Christmas present to ourselves. Now comes the paperwork, the payments, the smiles.
See?
We are excited about this one. We put a bid on a house a couple of weeks ago, but we didn't feel like we were told everything we should have been about it. It was well out of our reach. The seller wouldn't budge, so we feel God just didn't lead us there. Then, all of the sudden, we hire a new realtor who was recommended by a lot of people, look at one house, fell in love with it, and will be moving soon. This house is about 43 years old, but man, oh, man… it is well-built and looks nice all around. Plus, it's in the nicest and safest neighborhood in town. I'll post pictures when we move in and get settled. In other words, about January something…
Going to bed! We will have very sweet dreams tonight!

Two quick thoughts:
1. Go see National Treasure. Very good flick!
2. Happy Thanksgiving!

Actually, I'm not much for random thoughts today… so here's just one.
Steve Spurrier Moves To South Carolina
I've never had anything against this school. Now, thanks to this jerk, it will become one of my most hated as long as he's there… or not. He left Florida a few years ago and I still despise that school. Who knows…

- Went to Mom's for the weekend. Had a great time, especially Saturday night. Chris, Jimmy, and I went out to eat. First time the three of us have been together in nearly three years. Highlight, might you ask? Feeling like we were in high school again by stealing Bush/Cheney yard signs and leaving them in front of our very Democratic senior government teacher's house. Hey, no one had a clue all three of us were in town, so suspicions are out of the way.
- Auburn beat my beloved Bama. And this came as a shock to some people?? I was, quite frankly, more upset at the end of the NASCAR season today. Kurt Busch won the title by just eight points. I was pulling for my man Jeff Gordon or Jimmie Johnson. They ended up second and third. I will say this about the NASCAR “Chase for the Cup” rule change. They wipe out the points for the last 10 races now for the top 10 drivers. At first, I thought it would not be a great idea. After seeing the title leader change all day during the race… heck yeah! NASCAR finally made a change that was friggin' awesome! I was very excited at all the lead changes today in the points!
- We decided to withdraw our bid on a house. Neither side would budge, so we're letting it go. Time to hit the trails again and find another one.
- Just got an e-mail from my assistant news director. They're moving my nightside producer to dayside and sticking another in her place. I can't tell you how angry I am at this. MB is my closest co-worker, and my favorite producer. Now I get to deal with this other guy, who's just a tad bit annoying and bossy. Plus, I can't understand half of what he says. He's not originally American. This is the first thing at work (well, second, if you read previous posts) that's upset me. Bah…
- Thanksgiving is almost here. Where the heck did November go? Anyhow, that's it for tonight. I'm annoyed about work now, so I'd better close before I say anything else that someone might see.
