There's word flying all over the Internet this morning about Mitch Hedberg passing away yesterday. As you may know, Mitch is my favorite comedian. I've seen him live three times and had great fun every show. I hope it's not true (no official word as of this post), but if it is, R.I.P.

You were the best.

Update: Unfortunately, it's true.

Rest In Peace, Mitch. You were laid back like Pringles.

-Feeling a lot better today. I'm kind of out of my funk, which is nice. It's beautiful weather here, the dog is peacefully outside, and I've still got three hours before work.

-My summer vacation has been approved. I'll get my birthday off, and I'll get our anniversary off. We plan on going to Gatlinburg for a week. I haven't been there since the 5th grade, so this should be fun. We're really looking forward to going to Cooter's Place. That's the Dukes of Hazzard museum run by Ben Jones. Cheesy? Yes, but we both loved the show.

-I'm still working on the Atlanta race pictures. I just haven't had time this week.

-Amy goes to the doctor today. We'll see if we can to procreate once again soon.

Hello…

Just a few thoughts on my mind this morning:

-I went with nine other people to the Atlanta NASCAR race Sunday. Had a fantastic time! Jeff Gordon wrecked on the first lap thanks to Casey Mears. He wound up 39th, so that blew my enthusiasm for the most part until the finish. I have pictures that will soon go on the site. I'll post here when I upload them. Still getting them sized down.

-It's ugly weather here today. It fits my mood, so it's all good. Amy and I are doing well, but we had some talks last night concerning this Easter weekend. I already have plans that were made before other plans, so that's caused some people to question my motives. Some people think I'm unhappy with them, but I had already committed to something else. That's all. Nothing else. There are other things that I'm quite unhappy about, but it has to do with losing our baby. We're just not completely over it yet.

-Chopper is doing well. He's sleeping on his pillow next to me right now. Thank goodness we have him. He's been a source of distraction for us since the miscarriage.

-Have I mentioned I hate coming up with story ideas before?

-I really like my co-workers. It's a shame a lot of them are looking to leave sometime this summer.

-I hope I can get to know some guys from my Sunday School class better. I've wanted to, but our weekends seem to be taken up by many other things.

-I guess I'll close. Ever since I've started this job, I've hardly been able to write in long paragraphs. Writing for news makes you keep things short and concise. I used to write page after page, but I don't think I can any longer. I'm sure I can, but it bores me after a point.
