Week 10 Update

March 1st, 2005 by Brock

Hello!

-Amy is now 10 weeks pregnant. She is doing very well. She has yet to get morning/night sickness, so hopefully it's smooth sailing from here. She's been nauseated, but not for the past couple of weeks. She has a lot more energy now as well. We went to the doctor again last week and listened for the heart. No luck, but we'll try again at the end of March. It was a little too early.

-We're also waiting on the arrival of a new “baby.” We're getting a dog this week. He's a dachshund, and he's about 1-3 years old. We're getting him from the fine folks over at the Lee County Humane Society. We do “Pet of The Week” with them, and they finally got the dog I've been wanting. I grew up with dachshunds, and I haven't had a dog in about 14 years. I'll pick him up today or tomorrow. I've already bought him all the supplies he'll need for a while.

-Work is going well. I need to talk to my boss about a little bit bigger pay raise this summer. We're having to budget, and it's not looking pretty for the baby. :-)

-I've got an article posted on Alabama Aviator. The lady asked if I would grant her permission to reprint my story on the Tuskegee Airmen. No problemo! :-) I got to meet a few of the original Airmen last week. I was absolutely in awe.

-We went back to Tuscaloosa this past weekend. Apologies to the people we didn't inform or get to see. Next trip. :-) I really miss that place. It was so nice to see crimson and white again instead of orange and blue. It would take an awful lot for me not to ever take a job back there or Birmingham. We're happy here. Don't get me wrong. T-town was a lot of fun, though.

-I wish this cold weather would go away. It ran up our gas bill this past month. I love the cold, but with the dog coming I don't want him to be chilled.

-I finally bought “Collision Course” with Jay-Z and Linkin Park. Awesome…

-Work time is creeping up on me. :-( I need to track down a story for today, so I need to put this to bed for now.

Holla! :-)
