Prayers for home

March 2nd, 2007 by Brock

I guess by now you’ve seen the destruction from Enterprise, AL. That’s where my mom lives, and next door to where I grew up. I was at work last night, and I just cried when I saw what happened. The church behind the stadium, Hillcrest Baptist Church, is my mom’s church. I’ve marched in the EHS stadium when I was in high school band. We had a band contest there my senior year.

Jimmy, my best friend from high school, sent me a few text messages last night. His dad’s house was almost destroyed in the storm, too. I’m really glad Mr. Voss is okay.

Outside of the destruction back home, today has been aboslutely miserable. Amy had a stomach virus yesterday, and I’ve got it now. I was up every two hours last night, and I’ve been sick all day. I haven’t been able to shake this 101 degree fever, either.

I don’t feel like sitting up here any more and writing. Have a great night, and please pray for those back home.
