DL.TV minus a host and show

August 8th, 2007 by Brock

Do you remember TechTV from the good ol’ days before G4 ruined it? It was a very informative network, and I was hooked on every show. It’s gone now, and most of the hosts from that network are all around the ‘Net.

One of my favorite sites is DL.TV. Heck, I even have the t-shirt. The hosts were Patrick Norton and Robert Heron. Heron is still there, but Pat decided to up and leave just like he did “The Screen Savers.”

I hate that, because Patrick is awesome. He’s taken a new gig somewhere, probably at Rev3 with some of his old TechTV buddies. Roger Chang has taken Pat’s spot on DL.TV, and I don’t mind that at all.

However, it was announced on Tuesday’s show that they’re scaling back from two video podcasts a week to just one. They said it was probably temporary, but I don’t have a lot of shows I watch. Especially webcasts.

I’m kind of bummed, but as long as they keep up the great content, I’ll be okay. I guess that’s also enough “geek speak” for tonight. I’ve got to get up early.
