November

November 6th, 2007 by Brock

We’re several days into November, and I apologize for not writing much lately.  I’ve been kind of catatonic as far as work is concerned, and nothing major has happened at home.  There have been a couple of personal issues some friends and family have been going though, and I pray they can get through the healing process.  We’ve been right where you are, so know we’re praying for you, and we love you.

It’s getting close to the holidays, and I’m looking forward to them.  It will be nice to get some Christmas lights and decorations up after Thanksgiving.

I try not to think about continuously having to take vacation days just to get holidays off.  I wish that could change.  I only have 10 vacation days a year right now, and I have to burn half of them on holidays.  That’s the only thing really bugging me about this business.

I want some more time off so I can spend it with my wife and daughter. I’m also growing weary of working three nights/two days a week.  I’ve been on this shift for 3.5 years, and I’m ready for stability.  Work and co-workers are fine, but the schedule is a little old now.

I tried to keep this positive, but I continually go back to my mindset.  Sorry about that. Now you see why I really haven’t posted anything lately.  I’ll try to keep it more upbeat in the future.
