Going clubbing

February 28th, 2008 by Brock

Hello.  My name is Brock.  I’m 31-years-old, and I’ve never played golf.

Since that’s now out of the way, I bought my first set of clubs today.  The guys in my new office are avid golfers, and they’re planning a little outing this weekend.  Call it peer pressure, but I now own my own gear.

I may own it, but who knows what kind of sideshow these guys will get when I actually tee up.  I’ve never so much as held a club.  :-)

And, no, I won’t tell you where we’ll be playing so you can come by and make fun of me.

The sun sets on ‘Vegas’

February 22nd, 2008 by Brock

Well, NBC has killed one of my favorite shows with a cliffhanger.  “Las Vegas” has been given the ax according to many entertainment sites.  Just as I was getting over James Caan leaving…

Well, NBC, you’re a bunch of jerks for ending like you did, no closure whatsoever. I’d boycott the network, but I can’t give up “The Office.”

You’d better not even think of killing off that show.

Toshiba kills HD DVD

February 19th, 2008 by Brock

Well, that HD DVD add-on and movies I bought for my Xbox 360 are worthless.  Toshiba officially killed the format today.  Blu-ray wins the day, so they’d better be dropping some prices so I can afford a player.

Dang.

Nick of time, part two

February 17th, 2008 by Brock

It’s also a good thing I left the station a week ago.  There’s some terrible weather over here today, and all the stations have been saying, “We’ve got crews on the scenes.”  That includes some spots here in east Alabama.

Instead of putting my life in danger and being out in this nasty stuff, I’m able to sit at home and watch… dry… safe… smiling.  :-)

In the nick of time

February 16th, 2008 by Brock

It looks like I left the station at the right moment.  There’s no telling where this will lead.  I won’t comment further, but you can read the article for yourself.
