I finally have a few minutes of free time to write some thoughts down. This year has been one of the most hectic I can remember in awhile, and it’s only April.
My guys and gals in khaki are busy, busy and busy. That about sums it up. We have been to one convention in Tuscaloosa, had a workshop, a school clean-up in Auburn, the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Birmingham, a walk for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Montgomery and we have another Walk MS coming up in Huntsville. So, yeah. We’re a highly active group right now.

Just a quick note from my constantly-updated site. If you view the site on a mobile phone, it should now be optimized for those browsers.
Also, check out the photo page for pictures of the Alabama Ghostbusters.
I know I always apologize for the lack of updates, but I’m swamped right now. I’ve got three or four different freelance gigs I’m working on, plus projects for ALGB and Ghostbusters Fans. Add being a husband, dad and working my real job, and you see why I don’t do much of this anymore. Hopefully things will start to slow down in the next month or so, and I can go back to my “Life by the Numbers” series here.

I’ll take a step away from the “Life by the Numbers” series for a moment. Heck, it seems like I’ve done that for many moments.
I’m trying to remember a lot, on top of finding the time to write them out.
It’s quiet in the house. Our little princess is with Granny this week. I miss her a lot, even though she only left this morning. However, I really missed not getting a running hug this evening when I got home. She’s my little girl, and I love her so much.
I celebrated my 33rd birthday Sunday. I’m 1/3 of the way to 100. Ouch. I also celebrated it with Amy and Mom Saturday at the Drum Corps International (DCI) show in Atlanta. That was a lot of fun, and I got to see quite a few of my old friends I marched with in Southwind.
I’m trying to finish a freelance Web project on top of the major-pain-in-the-rear site at work. Because I’ve been so busy in front of the computer at work, I haven’t been too motivated to work on my freelance site. I will, though. That payday will be nice.
I’m also debating whether or not to officiate football again this fall. I went to our association’s meeting tonight, but I’ll be honest. I lost all interest halfway through. I worked more games than anyone last year, and it did burn me out a bit. The thought of being away from the house even one or two nights a week, on top of everything else, doesn’t appeal to me this year. I hate to let Mike down, but I’m just not feeling it right now.
I’m getting ready for next weekend! We have another Birmingham Ghostbusters meeting and workshop. I had such a good time with the guys last month. We’re getting closer to Dragon*Con, and I’m getting more excited. I just have to figure out what the heck to do about parking in Atlanta that weekend. Do we take a cab from the hotel, or do we get up super early and find a nearby parking deck?
I guess I’d better to get to bed. I apologize this blog has been sort of inactive, but I promise I’ve got memories ready to go now that I’m thinking about my school years. Have a great night!

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve updated this thing. Forgive the neglect. I’ve had lots of things going on in my personal life that has kept me from this.
I have not given up on the “Life by the Numbers” series I was working on. I’ve just been sidetracked. I will try to get some more stuff going soon.
Keep watching this site, especially if you don’t have Twitter. The feed on the left remains very active, so there is some content flowing on here. Just not the main blog stuff you’ve been reading.
Back to work!

I was looking at this blog today, and all you’ve seen are Twitter updates. Sorry ’bout that. The reason I haven’t updated is because I’m practically blind right now.
I’ve been waiting on new glasses, and I’m having a devil of a time even working my normal job. I just didn’t want to write a whole lot here, too.
That being said, my glasses are finally in. I’ll pick them up tomorrow morning! YAY! And for the record, I hate contacts. They never feel right, so I haven’t worn them in a couple of weeks. Tomorrow is a brand new day!
