Happy sprinkler day!
Ok, so it’s not an actual day, but the sprinkler guys appear to be finished in each of our offices. I can finally put my pictures back on the wall and my toys out.
‘Tis a good day indeed.

Yes, it’s February. Yes, I’m already researching and assembling my Halloween costume. I do not formally celebrate Halloween, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with dressing up in fun costumes, especially with my pals from work.
However, this one is going to be awesome! I’m not saying I’ll look great in it, but the costume itself will be fun! The problem is, I’m about to round up a ton of stuff and sell on eBay to help support this thing. I’ll post a link to my auctions when I get them up and running (which will probably be a few days). I need $$$ for it!
Do you know of any costume contests (preferrably ones that offer cash prizes) around Auburn/Opelika? I’ll even be willing to go to Atlanta or Montgomery. I think I might finally go to Dragon*Con in August just to wear this thing.
In short, I AM A GEEK.

Well, maybe not ALL quiet, but it’s settling down. The sweet princess is down for the night, and little bro is not feeling well. He’s got some congestion, and it’s working its way into his chest. That means one unhappy boy.
We had a great visit with his cardiologist at UAB Monday. His right ventricle muscle seems to be softening up, which means it could start growing more. That would be a tremendous blessing if so!
Alyssa turns three Saturday. I can’t believe it’s been three years since she was born. She is such a little angel, and she’s my baby girl. I love you so much, my beautiful princess.
Work is going very well. I was so happy in television news that I never thought I could find a job I love more. It’s hard to believe I found one.
I tend to talk a lot about work, but I have no reason to stop. I’m sometimes at my happiest there. We all have a lot of fun. I’m getting a lot better at Photoshop because of it, too. You should see some of the pictures we all create of each other. That seems to be the favorite prank of the office.
If you love “The Office” like I do, then check out my new site, http://www.cousinmose.com. I haven’t done anything with it yet, so I would love some feedback as to what you would like to see.
Also, check out the photos page. I’ve updated it with two new autographs I’ve collected, Amy Adams and James Caan.
I don’t have a whole lot of significant things to say. I just don’t want this blog to go stale. Maybe my creative juices will flow again soon. Have a great night!

Wow … I just read back over the post I made last night. I was a *tad* angry. Nothing gets my blood pressure going like these morons who don’t treat this country and its symbols with respect, symbols for which I voluntarily served and defended. Heck, I’m sure more than enough of Lord Hussein’s minions have no clue what his true political views are and just voted for him because he’s half-black and can read a teleprompter well.
There are so many days when I miss Ronald Reagan. I am no longer a Republican, and I’m sure as heck not a Democrat. I’m a Conservative first and foremost. Throw the ideas of The Gipper in there, and I’m what you call a Reagan Conservative. Those days are long gone, and I don’t think there are many Republicans now who can shine a light within a mile of what he did and said.
I’m not ashamed of my conservatism. You can call me “old-fashioned,” or whatever you like. I believe we all want the best for ourselves, but I believe more and more people are not willing to work for it. They want everything handed to them, and that’s not what built this country. Just like the woman the night Lord Hussein won … “Obama’s going to pay my mortgage and my gas.” Please. Get off your lazy backside and W-O-R-K! Or … is that a bad four-letter word to you?
This country has fallen short of the ideas that made it great. As I told someone at work today, I am thrilled Americans finally put a black man into office. It shows the progression that’s been missing for so long. However, they (I say that because I didn’t vote for him) decided to put this man into that place. His socialist and near-communist views do not promote self-betterment. It’s all about the hand-outs now. If I want to help someone, it’s because I want to. Not because I’m forced to.
As I’ve ranted here before, I do not believe this style of HOPE and CHANGE are what we need. The only hope I have goes into Jesus Christ, not some flawed man here. The only change I want to see is a return to the beliefs in God that our country was founded on.
I believe if we do not return to that foundation of earning your keep and trust in God, we’ll crumble like Ancient Rome.

Sorry I haven’t posted since we’ve come home. I got caught back up in work and a full house.
David is doing well. We went back to UAB Monday to see the cardiologist, and he was pleased with the progress. We go back next month, and we could be on-track for another heart cath sometime around September. We were told of some possibilities after that, but I don’t want to go into specifics. Please just pray that his right ventricle will increase in size between now and then.
Alyssa is settling back into being at home. She had a really rough time being away in Birmingham for six weeks. Being at home is definitely the best medicine.
We are thinking about making some changes at the house and possibly looking for a new one. It’s amazing how quickly your house shrinks with more kids.
My Xbox 360 was laid to rest tonight thanks to the “Red Ring of Death.” Piece of junk. That’s the second time in two years. I have a Wii, so I really don’t want to invest in another 360. However, I’ve got so many games for it. What to do? I won’t invest in a PS3 because it’s the same price as a 360 Elite, and I have a stand-alone Blu-ray player. Eh.
My bosses bought me a sweet powerhouse PC last week, and I finally got everything installed on it today at work. It’s so fast. I want to cry tears of joy.
That’s about all I can think of for now. Please pray I can get time to work on my freelance Web sites. We need the money (and who doesn’t?)!
